We had already informed the parents of all Year 8 pupils that school classes were suspended because teacher vetting had not been completed at the start of a new term. We needed a quick and cost-effective way to contact the parents of 280 pupils - an entire year group. Using Call Parents, the school was able to send a text message to all parents. 214 out of 280 Year 8 pupils returned to school the following day. Significantly, 130 of these pupils said that they were in school because of the text message they had received. By using Call Parents, we were able to minimise disruption within our school and ensure that pupils were not losing out on valuable learning time.
This school and others have reported a saving in their telephone costs since installing the system and have seen a saving in the administration time, thereby freeing up valuable school support staff time.
